while waiting for guanhui to edit the captions of the other post, i shall present to everyone the WONDERFUL and EXCITING
logical falllacies our class came up with during a very interesting GP lesson.

1. UNQUALIFICATION GENERALISATION (or DICTO SIMPLICITER)
- All guys are violent
- All ACSI guys are handsome
- All girls are beautiful
- All NY girls are smart
- All Singaporeans are caring
*- All HCIans are muggers (zhiwei is an excellent example)
- ALl Japanese like sushi
- All trackers are cool
*- All lessons are boring (hmm the teachers would have lots to say about this i supposed)
*- All HCI guys are insensitive (isn't that supposed to be a fact? :P)
2. HASTY GENERALISATION (related to the preceding, this is a conclusion drawn from too few samples)
*- Zhiwei is thin, therefore all Catholic High students are thin
*- Hwa Chong is a top school, therefore all Hwa Chong graduates are muggers
- Yanpeng, Donghe, Kangjin and Tianxi have good basketball skills, therefore all china guys are good at basketball.
- Tian Xi is good at chemistry, therefore the class is good at chemistry
- Yujiao got 90% for Chinese Lecture Test, thereafter the class is good in chinese
- Borui is an iceberg, thus the class is very cold
- Tingfeng is tanned, all tanned people are farmers. Hence, tingfeng is a farmer
**- God loves children. God is neither black nor white. Michael Jackson is God.
3. NAME CALLING ( or POISONING THE WELL or AD HOMINEM, i.e., argument attacking the man rather than the issue)
- He just failed his exam, how can he be any good in his studies?
*- He is white, ugly and cannot do sports. How can he have a girlfriend?
*- Your family is poor, how can you be successful in the future?
- You did not pass your A level, how can you aim for a scholarship?
- You did not attend Pe lesson, how can you run for cross country?
*- You had no previous leadership position, how can you run for council?
- You did not pass PSLE, you cannot be rich.
